Les relations entre les entreprises et les banques ont evolue au cours des dernieres annees. Les termes du contrat etablis entre les banques et les entreprises ne sont pas suffisants pour eviter les problemes de risque moral et d'antiselection. L'importance de la reputation provient de l'impossibilite de resoudre ces problemes dans le contrat meme. Un sondage d'opinion aupres des entreprises qui exercent leurs activites au Portugal et un autre aupres des banques ont ete effectues.Du cote des banques, nous soulignons les methodologies d'analyse du risque de credit et l'importance des indicateurs qualitatifs dans ces methodologies.Du cote des entreprises, nous mettons en evidence les motifs de choix de la banque principale et les attitudes des entreprises par rapport au comportement de leur banque principale. La reputation des entreprises aupres des banques n'est pas une condition suffisante pour inciter les banques a reduire la surveillance de l'entreprise, au contraire pour les entreprises la reputation bancaire est cruciale pour renforcer la confiance et elle determine plus visiblement les motifs de choix de la banque principale.
